Clausegauge is building an AI-powered contract scanner and deal checker, alongside an escrow and dispute-resolution platform for freelancers, marketplaces, and B2B transactions — so neither side of a deal has to go first on trust.

Neutral
Human mediator on every deal
Sheffield, GB
Company address
Paying a freelancer, buying from a marketplace seller, or closing a B2B deal with a new counterparty all carry the same problem: someone has to go first. Traditional escrow is slow, expensive, and rarely designed for small, fast online deals. Clausegauge holds funds while both sides complete their obligations, releases against milestones, and puts a neutral mediator on standby if a deal goes sideways.
Our AI contract scanner and deal checker is in development. It analyzes contracts and deal documents, extracts key terms, obligations, and dates, flags risky or non-standard clauses, and checks deals against company policy and playbooks. Content is re-checked every time a document is uploaded, edited, or re-submitted, so reviews always reflect the latest version. Human review stays in place for consequential decisions. Learn more.
Deals can be funded and settled in digital assets or in traditional currency. The full mechanics are documented on our settlement page.
Neutrality
Our mediator has no stake in the outcome of a deal. Decisions follow the agreed terms and the evidence — nothing else.
Accountability
Every state change and every cent is recorded in an append-only, double-entry ledger. Math happens server-side in integer smallest units, so balances always reconcile.
Confidentiality
Sensitive deal details are envelope-encrypted at rest and access is scoped to the parties on the deal.
Transparency
Fees are published up front on a clear sliding scale. There are no surprise charges and no hidden spreads.

We have no stake in the outcome of any deal
Clausegauge earns a fixed platform fee regardless of who wins a dispute. That independence is the foundation of every principle we build on.
We build deliberately. Everything below is planned work, not shipped functionality.
AI fraud detection & dispute assistance
Not live yet. We are building risk scoring for new deals and counterparties, plus evidence summarisation that helps a human mediator resolve disputes faster and more consistently. Final decisions stay with people.
Multi-sig custody
Upgrading the escrow wallet layer to a 2-of-3 multi-signature scheme so no single key can unilaterally move funds. This raises the security bar significantly for large deals.
More settlement rails & markets
Expanding settlement options and deal types — from freelance contracts and domain names to broader B2B services — while keeping the same neutral, evidence-based resolution process.
Open positions
Clausegauge is a lean team — we keep it that way on purpose. Small teams ship faster, communicate better, and stay accountable to each other. We don't add headcount unless the need is clear and the person is exceptional.
If you're a sharp developer or operations specialist who cares about security and honest dealing, we'd like to hear from you. Tell us what you've built, what you care about, and why escrow infrastructure matters to you.
